Identify your iPad model
How To Identify your iPad model
1. Find the Model
Identify your iPad model using two methods:
- Check the Back of the iPad
Look for the model number engraved on the back of your iPad.
- Use the Settings Menu
Go to Settings > General > About. At the top, find the model number. If the number includes a slash ("/"), it's a part number (e.g., MY3K2LL/A). Tap this number to reveal the model number, which consists of one letter followed by four digits (e.g., A2342).
To check whether your Mac or PC is compatible with your iPad, review the corresponding System Requirements.
2. Use the Serial Number
Find your iPad's serial number in Settings > General > About.
Then, visit Apple's official Coverage Check page and enter your serial number. You will get detailed information about your device, including its model and warranty status.
